On December 9th, I had the opportunity to take pictures at the children’s Christmas party for General Dynamics Land Systems Tallahassee branch. The event is an annual one that is paired with another party for the “adults” which takes place at a different time and place. This year the children’s party was at The Fun Station Jr. The party isn’t just food and fun but General Dynamics also coordinated with Santa so he could stop by and make a visit with the kids. This year Santa was there to meet the kids, talk to them to see what they wanted for Christmas and of course it goes without saying, making sure everyone was staying on the nice list. Santa also posed with the kids for pictures and gave each a present corresponding to their age. The kids had a great time with Santa.
On a side note there were a few, shall I call them technicalities to over come when setting up for the photos. The biggest hurdle to over come related to the design and decoration of the room we were in. The room had a pretty cool under the sea theme going on with pictures, murals, and what appeared to be ship portholes looking out at reefs and fish on the walls. This made things a little challenging; maybe its just me but a shark and a Christmas tree don’t go too well together for a Santa picture. So with some quick thinking from the people setting up and assistance of the Fun Station staff we were able to squeeze into a corner and creatively cover the out of place elements from the frame.
With all that said the button below is a link to the web gallery for the pictures from the event. The families that sat for a picture will be getting a printed 5×7 copy in the near future.Photo Gallery
